Although our volunteers give their time for free, it still costs around £225,000 each year to run our core service. Many people don’t know that we are not funded nationally (although we may receive money for specialist projects).  Instead, our income comes from local councils, trusts and foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraising.  So we have a strong focus on fundraising to ensure we are growing a sustainable service.

There are a number of ways you can support us financially

As an individual

We can accept one off and regular online donations via JustGiving and Virgin Money or you can get in touch with us at comms@citizensadviceeastherts.org.uk to arrange an alternative, eg BACS transfer (preferred) or cheque.

If you are a UK taxpayer you could also add Gift Aid to your online donation, meaning we can reclaim basic rate tax on your gift – 25p for every £1 donated which really adds up!

Perhaps you would like to make a regular donation to us through payroll giving?

We’d be delighted if you would make us your charity of choice for your fundraising initiatives, whether that’s a sponsored event or a coffee morning – anything you could raise for us would be most gratefully received!  If you are connected with an organisation that would match your donation, that would be a wonderful bonus.

If you are making a will and considering charitable provision as part of this, please consider Citizens Advice East Herts as a beneficiary.  Even a small donation could make a big difference to us

We can also accept donations in person at any of our locations.

Tickets cost £1 per week. We receive 60% of the ticket price and you could win up to £25,000!

By shopping through the Giving Machine or

you generate commissions (at no cost to you) which are converted into charitable donations for us!

You can use your existing Amazon account, but amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price to us.

Or as a company

If you are deciding on who to make your ‘Charity of the Year’ why not get in contact with us to find out more information about what we do and how you can help.

If you don’t already have one, you could set up payroll giving to make it easier for your employees to make a regular donation to charity.

One way in which have been very fortunate to receive help from companies in the past is pro bono work.

Thank you for your support
